The last 10-15 years, the style of "vintage" does not go out of fashion. For example, 5-6 years ago, designers revived the style of the 80s, with their bare shoulders and blouses of "acidic" disco shades. In 2010, models appeared on the catwalks dressed in suits of male cut of the 20s of the last century. Today we admire the feminine cut of clothes of the 40-50s. What is the matter? Why, no matter how many decades have passed, do we go back to the past, reanimating the nuances of the retro style?

A bit of history

Wartime affected all spheres of life. People only thought about how to survive, what can we say about clothes? However, you always want to look beautiful. Therefore, young girls in the rear went to all kinds of tricks: they redrawn the old wardrobe items of their parents. This was the first time of vintage as a leading fashion style.

Our grandmothers, who were young girls in the 40-50s, inherited clothing from the 20-30s. Many call this time "golden." It was then that Coco Chanel came up with her little black dress (1939). And just then, at the peak of fashion, there were such trends as:

  • skirts and coats extended at the back;
  • pleated skirts;
  • cell;
  • separation of makeup on the day and evening;
  • lack of bangs;
  • fitted outerwear.

All this is relevant today. Modern designers skillfully combine the directions of the 40-50s, some of which, in turn, were borrowed from the 30s.

By 1947, fashion came to life again. Convenient and practical wardrobe items were forgotten. Clothing of complex cut from flowing fabrics with a large number of jewelry came out on top.

At the same time, hidden sexuality comes into fashion. Women refuse blouses and wear tight-fitting fitted jackets on a naked body. They complemented the neckline with light gas or silk scarves. Today we are seeing the same trend.

Retro style in 2013

This fall and next winter, several design decisions from the middle of the previous century will be in fashion at once. For example, large peas. It can be found everywhere, but it is considered the most relevant on flying skirts to the knees and a little higher. It should be combined only with light tissues.

Another trend of 2013 is Scotch. It was first used on jackets in the 20s of the last century. Then the lines were designed exclusively in red and black colors. Today you can find green or yellow options. Catchy shades and unusual solutions are now very relevant.

The hem extended at the back, which was mentioned when discussing the trends of the 30s, is again at the peak of fashion. You can meet him on skirts, fitted dresses both evening and everyday, as well as on smelling coats.

If we talk about outerwear, it is impossible not to mention its drapery. Luxurious fur collars, whose relevance is not even discussed, designers borrowed from sketches of post-war clothing. However, the current trend towards caring for our smaller brothers has played a role. Instead of real animal skins today, artificial items flaunt on their coats.

A few days ago, as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Fashion Week, the modern "style icon" Renata Litvinova presented her collection in the style of the 50s. In each image, Renata herself is guessed, with his femininity, elegance, mystery.

Retro-style clothing and accessories, of course, is very relevant, but do not dwell only on it. Pay attention to the trend in fashion 2013-2014. decorate clothes with art reproductions.

Wardrobe items with quotes and artworks by classics are popular.
