The easiest wallpaper removal method
For starters, you can try to soak them. It must be said right away that this method is suitable only if the wallpaper is made of plain paper. With vinyl or non-woven, this method is inappropriate because they do not allow moisture to pass through.
To wet the paper wallpaper, you need to use heated water, in which a little soda is added. It is best applied with a roller or at least a soft rag. Wait a few minutes before removing the sheets. When the wallpaper is sufficiently swollen, proceed to their removal.
If you need to remove vinyl or non-woven wallpaper, then a method similar to this can also be applied. Only initially should the wallpaper be prepared so that they are able to absorb water. In particular, a waterproof film is removed from vinyl wallpaper, and non-woven wallpaper is perforated with a spike roller. In the second case, you need to be careful, since such a tool can damage not only the wallpaper, but also the walls underneath.
Eliminate wallpaper with steam
Another option is steaming the wallpaper. They pass to it if the previous method could not bring a special positive result. For steaming, you can use either a special tool or just an iron. The steam from the selected device is sent to the wallpaper sequentially, site after site. The effectiveness of this method is great, since hot steam is able to dissolve the glue on which the canvases of wallpaper are held.
What to do in difficult cases
Provided that this method did not work, you will have to turn to special means to dissolve the wallpaper glue. They are used in the same way as plain water. More precisely, they must first be dissolved in a liquid, and then go on to the wallpaper removal procedure.
