The history of the dress and its features

The first change of dress-cipao has undergone in the XX century, when Chinese designers changed their style a little. It was in those days that such an outfit became the national dress of Chinese residents and was a great success.

Later, Chinese-style dresses were recognized as bourgeois, and they were forbidden to wear. Then, already in the 60s of the last century, dresses became popular again, because they carried the magic and charm of the East. In those days, the Qipao began to conquer Western countries.

Now these dresses are considered elegant, luxurious, they demonstrate the great taste of its owner. Many Hollywood celebrities choose Chinese attire to walk the red carpet or go out. Despite the fact that the dress’s collar is closed, and it is often long, it emphasizes the femininity and sexuality of any woman who has put it on better than short skirts.

Of course, since its first appearance it has undergone some changes. For example, the length can be not only in the floor, but midi and mini. The clasp of a dress can be both oblique and straight, and each designer comes up with a neckline: oval, round or “drop”, although a stand-up collar is considered traditional for such a style.

In the collections of past years, many designers have preferred the Chinese-style dresses. For example, Alberta Ferretti (Alberta Ferretti) presented to the public summer mini-dresses made of silk, which impressed with its color palette and a variety of prints.
