It is no secret that when it becomes necessary to lose weight and then fix the result for a long time, doctors recommend going towards the goal slowly and gradually. However, the study showed that “fast” weight loss may be more effective. In addition, it was found that this method of losing weight dramatically reduces the risk of re-gaining kilograms. Experts recommend not to be afraid that with a rigid diet the body will receive less important substances for it.

Adherents of rapid weight loss conducted an experiment in which a 12-week and 36-week course of weight loss was offered to full people. In the first case, people had to eat only food substitutes (up to 800 calories per day), while the second required a gradual decrease in caloric intake by 500 kcal. Those who managed to lose more than 12.5% of their weight were transferred to a special diet, the task of which was to support the weight.

As a result, four out of five volunteers who chose a rigid diet achieved a long-awaited result. This happened with 50% of the participants in the second group. Despite the fact that both groups lost 71% of excess weight, volunteers from the first group subsequently gained less weight. Doctors believe that a rigid diet because of its apparent effectiveness motivates people who are striving to achieve a normal weight much more strongly. According to nutritionists, dietary supplements can protect your body from possible loss of essential vitamins.
