We will make a snowdrop out of paper with our own hands, decorating the house and at the same time not destroying the first spring flowers.
DIY snowdrop using quilling technique
Work in the technique of quilling or paper rolling allows you to perform a variety of crafts: animals, flowers, jewelry. Pictures, cards and even toys turn out bright and graceful. Light and airy crafts will be a good gift for any holiday.
Quilling will help us to make a gentle snowdrop out of paper with our own hands. To do this, you will need quite a bit: scissors, paper strips for quilling of white, pale pink, lilac or blue for petals and green for leaves and stems, a device for working in the quilling technique (it can be replaced with a toothpick or a thin knitting needle) and any glue for paper.
Gently wind the white strip onto the fixture or toothpick. Then remove the workpiece and slightly dissolve. We glue the tip of the strip and fingers flatten the workpiece on one side. We form three such petals for one flower. They will form the basis of snowdrop.
Now the turn of the green strip. From it we will perform sepals. Wraps a green strip on a toothpick or device and, without letting go, glue the tip. Helping ourselves with a pencil, slightly stretch the workpiece, forming a cone. For reliable fastening, you can drip a little glue into it.
We insert three white petals into the sepals and carefully glue them. From the remaining green stripes we add the leaves and the stem. Leaflets can have different lengths and shapes. For strength, glue them at the base. You can arrange strips of paper in various colors in the flowers, and then the bouquet will turn out to be more realistic. You can also use various shades of green. Our delicate bouquet is ready.
How else can I make a snowdrop out of paper with my own hands?
A boat, an airplane, a fan and a paper cap from the sun are products made using the origami technique. Such simple crafts many did in childhood. Origami art will help us create a delicate spring snowdrop from paper with our own hands.
We will need several sheets of white or colored paper, a ruler, pencil, scissors, glue.
Cut a sheet of paper into squares. When choosing the size of the product, keep in mind that the cup of the flower will be half as much as the sides of the square. We fold the blanks diagonally, then in half.
Straighten the fold into a square. Repeat the action on the other hand. We bend and unbend the corners to the midline of the workpiece. 5Spread all sectors and bend and unbend corners to the midline. Straighten the fold, gently smoothing it. Then we raise the sharp tip up. Repeat the action for all sectors. Do not forget to gently and thoroughly iron all the folds of the product.
Completely unfold the sheet. Next, lay the folds along the dashed line. We bend the protruding corners into the product and iron it carefully. Glue the stem with leaves to the flower. We have a cute snowdrop flower.
Unusual, catchy crafts are obtained when working in the technique of modular origami. This technique allows you to make volumetric toys, decor items, decorations, vases from paper modules. A modular origami will help us to make a snowdrop with eight petals out of paper with our own hands. We will again use colored or white paper, we will also need a ruler, a simple pencil, glue, thin wire, green corrugated paper.
Cut the sheet into square blanks. From a leaf of 7x7 cm in size, a cup of a flower of about 4x4 cm will be obtained. Fold the side corners to the midline, and remove the bottom one inside.
And again, we bend the corners to the midline and tuck them into the workpiece. Raise the corners and turn the part over.
We bend the corners to the front side, while the back of the workpiece also bends. We should get such a detail. In total, we need four modules. We insert them into each other, forming an elegant cup of flower. For strength, you can use glue, lubricating it with that part of the module that is inserted inside the workpiece. We cut corrugated paper into strips with a width of about 1 cm. Cut a piece of wire of the required length and wrap it tightly with a strip of paper. We glue the strip so that it does not unwind. We insert the wire wrapped in corrugated paper into the cup, and fix it inside with two or three turns. We got a touching gentle snowdrop.
Using paper blanks of different colors and sizes, working in different techniques, we have created several options for delicate spring snowdrops. Such bouquets will be a good gift for friends and relatives, a sweet sign of attention for loved ones, will look good both in the interior of an apartment, as well as in an office or a country house. At the same time, we preserved real flowers so that they would please us every spring for many more years.
